Garda Corruption is rampant still 2022
If the Dept. of
Justice, the policing authority and Drew Harris are serious about tackling
fraud and corruption in An Garda Siochana they would have made all the attached
points part of this new corruption bill and order and investigation into
N.B.C.I. in Harcourt Square? But have they? NO

Garda corruption is still rampant in An Garda
Siochana and will be until these serious points are dealt with
GSOC is the only body that should be investigating
corrupt Gardaí, not Gardaí investigating themselves yet again and covering up
for the ones connected to people in power as always.
The very section and people that are supposed to be
investigating corruption in An Garda Siochana are centrally involved in corruption
drug and drunk driving themselves in NBCI GNBCI.
The corruption that
is still ongoing in the Garda force
Corruption includes detectives claiming they are
working Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays when they are at home, this is an
everyday fraud occurrence by detectives in N.B.C.I., Harcourt square and has
been for years since the Veronica Guerin murder.
Corruption includes detectives ringing in looking
for annual leave and never applying for it the leave, as there is no proper
recording of leave taken by senior officers, some detectives take over 50 days
a year annual leave, fraud/corruption, because management could not be bothered
telling detectives to apply for leave they took.
Corruption includes detectives claiming extra
hour’s overtime they don’t do because they do favors and cover for senior Garda
officers and are told they can claim overtime for it.
Corruption includes driving plain clothes Garda
cars home in the evening and using it for their own personal private life,
shopping, dropping friends and family to places, drinking and drug driving,
again this is a daily occurrence by detectives in Harcourt square which senior

Garda corruption includes detectives claiming they
are in court when they are not or going to court when they are not needed or
required in court and claiming over three hours in overtime when they are only
there for 5 mins, regular fraud committed by detectives in NBCI Harcourt
square. Sitting outside courtrooms when not required or need and claiming
overtime for it.
Garda corruption also includes getting on buses,
the Luas, Darts, trains and flashing their Garda ID or garda notebook to get
free travel, and then claiming the money back in subsistence allowance without
any receipt submitted, always done by Gardaí and detectives, which is fraud.

Detectives and Garda senior officers claim they lost
their Gardaí ID when they retire, when they haven’t, they then use their Garda
ID to flash on the buses and Luas and trains and to get into places for free,
this too is fraud and corruption. Every retired detective and senior officer
who never handed back their Garda ID is at this corruption and should be
investigated, as there are hundreds involved.
Senior Garda Officers and retired detectives flash
their Garda ID when they are drunk, coming up to a Garda checkpoint so they
will not be arrested for drunk and drug driving, this is a daily
occurrence.
Garda corruption is also getting free daily
newspapers from the Times, Independent news offices, etc. every night.
Garda corruption is also going into coffee shops in
uniform, restaurants and chippers expecting to get food free and food at a
discount this is always happening.
Detectives going through toll bridges also is
another place detectives flash their Garda ID to get free pass.
Garda corruption is accepting crates of beer,
bottles of wine and spirits from people who own businesses and from the media
for their criminal and false leaks, this is a daily occurrence that is ignored
and allowed by senior Gardaí.
Garda corruption is looking for sex, drugs and
drink for free.
Garda corruption is getting locked into pubs and
excepting free drinks for not reporting it
Corruption includes detectives and senior Gardaí
claiming a couple of hours overtime for taking a phone call; while off duty,
detectives do this all the time.
Garda corruption is detectives claiming subsistence
allowance for travel when they use a plain clothes car to go places, but still
claim travel expenses despite there being none incurred, this is because no
recipes are requested by senior Gardaí or account section to prove it, and also
because senior Gardaí are making fraudulent claims too.
Detectives and senior Garda officers are claiming
subsistence allowance for overnight stays when in fact they never stay
overnight on the job. No checks etc. are done to verify this and no receipts
are requested from detectives or management or the accounts department.
Garda corruption includes detectives disappearing
for hours claiming to be working when in fact they are off doing their own
private business or sitting at home doing nothing sometimes even off playing
golf.
If a Garda flashes his/her ID for any reason when
not working, it should be classed as corruption as they do it to gain a
discount or to get something for free.
Corruption is where an innocent person has been
framed for crimes they did not commit and investigating the corrupt detectives
involved in it, not whitewashing the crime and paying out compo to the person
framed.
Corruption and fraud include members filling up
their own personal cars with state petrol cards.
These are just some examples
of the fraud and corruption that is rampant in An Garda Siochana that is
allowed by senior Gardaí because they too are at it and because detectives do
not clock in or out or wear a body camera and are allowed do whatever they
want.
This is why every Garda and detective should be
wearing a bodycam 24/7 when they are working because corruption fraud and
bribery is rampant in the An Garda Siochana especially in N.B.C.I., in Harcourt
Square.
An external independent
accountancy firm needs to come in to audit the Garda section N.B.C.I. in
Harcourt Square, going back 20 years, auditing all subsistence, overtime,
annual leave and petrol claims submitted by every detective up to and including
chief Supt.
As stated by the head of
the HR department, Mr Barrett who was suspended for exposing fraud.
